Ruth Davidson is the reason the cons did so well and snp lost so many, if anyone doubts this lass has got what it takes to be a future party leader (uk) then as scothunter says watch her debate plus she has a go and get things done attitude which seems to rub of on those around her

Diane (brains of Britain) Abbot reckon it will be a draw 60% labour 60% Conservatives :)

I've never been a great cynic, but sweet Christ, a staunch remainer (May) has a workable majority, has the backing to push ahead with brexit, calls a snap election, which she said she wouldn't and pro

Some things in politics make you wonder. Something not right about this election.

Apparently in the early hours David Davidson was talking about staying in the single market... I think we have been fukt over tbh.

I think we've f****d ourselves over tbh. Too much talk of dissatisfaction with the Tories. I honestly think a lot of the more hard right refused to back the Tories in addition to a rise in activity from the pro EU mob that remained inactive during the referendum. I've suspected for a while that the referendum wasn't truly representative of the public's will. It's a fact that the 48% Remain did not want a hard brexit, it's reasonable to assume that some of the 52% Leave also did not want a hard brexit and I suspect that a majority of those that did not vote also fit that bill. That's why this election was so fecking risky. The polls led us all into a false sense of security. When it was announced, how many of us really thought it was a bad move?

It's all very well us all saying the Tories are weak c**ts over all this terror business but not supporting them in that election in swing seats was a gift to Labour. As weak as May may have been, we had a clear choice of a Tory brexit or a Labour brexit, no other options in a two party system I'm afraid. Not voting for the lesser evil, is indirectly a vote for the greater.

Oh well, it's Friday and I'm off to the land of the free in a week! Better buy my dollars now! HA!

All this talk of another election later in the year..... Is it going to be any different

I just don't see labour capable of getting 300+seats

What more could labour offer? They have already gave there shirts away and it wasn't enough

Being optimistic, I don't think it went too bad ....... The Scottish sent a message to the SNP. Having the DUP in government will hopefully give closer ties with Ireland.

This could all help to pull the whole UK closer together at a time when it's most needed

And, I've realised that I seem to have a thing for Leanne Wood :D

She could also get the lesbian and gay vote which by what we see on the TV could be millions more plus those who are straight but feel guilty about it and wish they were benders or transgender bollocks.

dianne abbots 48hr bug has finally cleared up, she wants to be in control of britains defense budget and call the immigrants i mean shots, GB is in a bad way, time for the military to oust them all and take charge. cant believe after the recent attacks sponsored by labour, that a lot of natives still voted them.

Just seen her dancing a jig on t.v after learning results thought she was ill lol ?

make no mistake about this result the youth are becoming more politically aware and the older voters are becoming fed up with yrs of shit governments, the younger voters are much more eu minded and the future will be much more left wing wether we get a hard or soft brexit.

The constituency map makes for interesting viewing. Look at them for the last 3 elections and look at the one for the EU referendum. You'd have thought this election would have been dominated by Brexit and that it would resemble the map for last year's referendum.

Other than the Scottish shifting from historical Lib/Lab to SNP this election looks broadly the same as all the previous elections. It looks like everyone just reverted back to their party and didn't consider the referendum at all!

LOL, best we don't have a say in the future. We haven't the bottle to see it through apparently.
