the heavens opened big style on Monday so work was stopped , rapid out cabinet and time to take my frustration out on a few squirrels .a short drive to a little wood where I had actually spotted a squirrel carrying a young black bird along a branch last week , I hadn't even switched car off when I spotted one at bottom of a tree ,so I unzipped the gun bag as quick as possible in the car and loaded a mag then window down and leaning gun on wing mirror I moved rifle to where I had spotted it . it had moved onto the side of the tree and was spread out lovely the cross hairs were placed on its napper and a gentle squeeze of the trigger and lights out for this one ,I picked it up [large male] and stashed it under motor , I walked the full length of the wood before spotting another sitting in a bow of a tree and it was a straight forward shot from about 30yds I picked it up[ milky doe] and went back to motor - got back in motor and back home in minutes lol -hopefully the squirrel I saw with chick is one of these
