Any 1 got 1 yet no reviews anywhere , i know its the base model but it is affordable and the only difference is about 100metre range for another 100 quid over the xq30 all other ratings is the same .If you do have 1 are you happy with it atb and thanks in advance

I would say there alright for the money mate, well I'm talking about the XQ30V models..

 

They will pick up a rabbit at 200m-250m max, fox out to 300-350 metres. The image and background detail is not as good as a Quantum XD38/50 or XQ38/50 model purely down to the lower quality flat lens used even though they have a 17micron sensor. But saying that they still do the job and detect heat to show you something is there, you will not get a better thermal for the price of £1299.99. The more money you spend the better the image..

Thanks for the info ,been like pulling teeth to find out ,though i did think the 800m range was a touch of disneyland for the money

Well it,s here XQ23 ,cats look freaky and pigeons cant hide in the trees ,well people look strange ,off tonight to my perm see how it works in the ullu .So far good impressions ,easy use menu ,padded case and a spare battery carrier to drop in when you run out.Leads are provided as is a car power lead and my long life external battery plugs straight in result as didnt want to spend 65 quid on their own version .

Well now,yes it does pick up at about 800m ,cows n sheeps.Alpaca,s at 230m and rabbits at 150 m.

Well pleased with that ,cats look horror film effect and pigeons cant hide inside bushes anymore .Using Kodak alkaline battery,s from poundworld and not changed them yet .3 hours use still over half way.

Foxe,s look awesome but in someone,s garden where you cant shoot the beeep beeps .Unit is very light weight and easy to hold.You select which background ie forest/town or auto.

Downside as you are viewing the auto calibrate will "freeze frame" and click as it registers .which initially is annoying till you get used to it.The carry case which is well padded has the strap fitted in a dumb place so it is flipping upside down all the time dropping spare batteries out etc.Not a great background image but animals clearly stand out which makes up for the background.

Worth the money yes ,simple to use yes ,good job real men dont read instructions ,well thats what the mrs says anyway.
