mackay 3,405
The Saudi football team playing against Australia in Adelaide refused to observe the one minutes silence held before the game for the victims of the London terror attack (two people who died were Australian). A spokesman said it was not in keeping with their culture.
socks 32,253
I bet that young kid is delighted plod gained a couple of seconds not bothering with the handbrake it only takes 1 second to stab someone so it probably saved him a couple of holes. Unless the two tone runaway vehicle had run over him killing him .......
johnny.w 316
I wonder if when we have a muslim government they will be as weak and wishy-washy towards the infidels as we seem to be towards them.

Unless the two tone runaway vehicle had run over him killing him ....... You might not know the answer to this socks but I'll ask anyway. Do the police not ever shoot from the vehicle? I've looked into what happens in the American training courses out of interest and they run a lot of drills shooting from vehicles. Slick as f**k either alone or in pairs. I get that on foot you have better mobility but surely sometimes speed outweighs the need to get on your feet?
socks 32,253
They do mate but as a last resort and then if it's a non dismount engagement they pull the vehicle side on so that the passenger and rear passenger can engage whilst the driver drives ......

Unless the two tone runaway vehicle had run over him killing him ....... Fact is half of the normal people know that if they put their two penneth worth in on something they have no experience with they will just look like idiots, so for us the best idea is say good job and not have an opinion. If anyone who didn't have military experience started making comments about what they should have done they would have got slaughtered. I think there are people that know what they are talking about and the rest of us don't, but at the same time we want to give out support to the people who were involved, it appears that one of the cops shot a civilian and he must feel like shit right now, having said that we can all imagine the SAS or other units could have done a better job. Still 8 minute response time is impressive, I wouldn't want to be in that situation. In short, giving support to our armed forces or police is a hard thing to do from a civilian point of view when you don't have any experience.....you can even get called a call of duty player! socks 32,253
This is the first line I wrote ...... Fair play they got the job done but it wasn't slick and smooth that's for certain .... as I've said countless times I am not slagging them off but the fact remains that the driver fukced up and COULD have caused more fatalities ... that 4x4 could have easily taken out two of his own team allowing the terrorists to get away and carry on their killing spree ... when your in those situations there is no margins for error hence the reason they carry out hundreds of hours of practice so that the drills become second nature ... let me put it this way gnash when you were boxing you must have spent hundreds of hours sparring to sharpen your skills and teach you ring craft and so that some movements became second nature that you would carry out without thinking .... this is exactly the same ... stop car leave in gear apply handbrake remove keys ... this all happens in a second and should have been second nature to the copper ... the driver is always the last out of the vehicle because of these drills ... I don't know whether adrenaline got the better of him or not but the fact remains in the cold light of day he fukced up and COULD have caused more fatalities ... luckily it did t and the scum were put down quick smart ... like I keep repeating I'm not slagging those lads off just putting out an opinion on something I know a bit about .......
