DEERMAN 1,020
if the LEDs came with yellow light they would be much better, I started a pup on a handheld led last season and he was shit, I swapped to my striker and the difrence in his running was unbelievable and I put it down to the colour of the beam.....that brilliant white light is no good imo we took a striker blitz and a handheld out together a few nights and the difrence between them for spotting is crazy I can't see eyes the same with the LEDs Spot on Quote Link to post

Maximus Ferret 2,065
I use blitz variable almost all the time since it came out but I borrow a striker if the wind's very strong. I also have a tiny little 8 inch long LED torch. I only use that for walking the dogs but it is strong enough to lamp with. Just hard to spot squatters with it. jackthelad 2,082
Iv got one of they wee Cree torches aswell and it's handy for dropping in your pocket my wee whippets have picked up bits an bobs on that torch but I think if we could get a led with the same colour of light as halogen then they would be spot on....... If anybody's bringing pups on this season I wouldn't start them on led i don't think a dog can see quarry properly in that light and the further away the worst it gets 1 Quote Link to post
