Accusing Other Mole Catchers, Of Being Deceiving ?

Recommended Posts

I read somewhere she was turning The Lady Mole Catcher concept into a franchise package - quoting ote of £35k in your first year etc etc.

Look it up - sure it's on the net somewhere. £15 k for a small van and 20 Duffus traps??

She may be controversial (and I thought the assertion about planting dead 'uns did our trade a terrible disservice) but she sure knows how to wring every penny out of the man in black velvet.

For a mole trapper to lie,.. and say he has solved the problem,.caught what he has not caught,..removed a pest,(.one that will inevitably show its face),..is the action of an amatuer...In MY game,...y

What people charge is their business. But, to accuse other mole catchers of tactics such as planting dead moles is just not on. It is underhand and dirty.   Best thing mole catchers can do is boycot

Have the same sort of thing in the building trade round here . A father and son charge a extortionate day date for the pair of themselves and their sales pitch is always . "We charge so much because we're worth it , were the best you'll get " " you can go with cheaper but when they mess it up you'll end up coming back to us so it's up to you if you want to pay twice for a job " I've also heard about them finding out what other builders are in for the job and when they go to price they make up stories about them , " their labourer is a thief , the tradesman got kicked off another site for f***ing up the job " . If they cast their net wide enough chances are enough people will fall for their shpiel and will pay it in the thought they've got the best . Their far from the best and I'm seen the aftermath of their work a few times. At the moment I think their falling apart . So their is hope the lady in question will fall on her sword

Fencing is another trade where some breathtaking figures get charged. I referred a job to a young lad in our area 5 posts and 5 panels in loose soil following Storm Doris. All materials were supplied by the client. This boy asked for £300 - he was there 2 hours, didn't even have to take the old fence away. The customer paid up without a murmur and I stood there reflecting that when I started in work it would have taken me a month to earn that sum. If this same punter ever has a mole in his garden, does this knowledge give me the excuse to charge like the light brigade? I could, but I won't because I'm in it for the long haul, and I always think that rip off merchants fade away or end up working far afield.

Yes she's a dick, but it won't hurt your business if you work hard at laying a good foundation and always stay on top of your own advertising etc.

.....it's just life and as has already been said these people will disappear as quick as they arrived just as soon as the next opportunity arrives for them. Fck em , concentrate on what YOUR doing and stay away from middlemen, short cuts and franchises

I'm a middle man, granted for a differnt industry but nevertheless, I take a small % for a good job well done ;) I take pride in what I do, if I didn't well I'd be fuucked wouldn't I!

But this backstabbing and talking wet behind peoples/companies backs just isn't on IMO and it does wind me up.... you can understand the lady trying to branch the business model out but this is wrong.

Edited to make clearer; her bullshit is wrong lol

Just recently i have been to two seperate jobs after this lady has been there , the first one she asked for £175 up front to cover the cost off setting traps . The second job she had told the people the first mole was only !!!! £80 and any further moles caught where only!!! £50 each . Good work if you can get it.

I have just read http://www.countrymolecatcher.co.uk/country-mole-catcher-franchise/ and it makes me sad. There are going to be people that are going to go for this. They'll fall for all the bullshit in the add and when they are not getting the earnings they have been told she'll just buy the area franchise back off of them and sell it to another mug. I bet in the franchise contract it says you have to buy all traps and paraphernalia from her as well.

I do like the comment she makes , regarding the franchisees getting ongoing training with the latest techniques . Which are , What !!!

She will make some money and then move onto the next thing , window cleaning perhaps . :hmm:
