mark williams 7,558
Well lads an early finish Took my old classic to my Garden range this afternoon and started to bed her in ( new sized piston seal). The lad , Nick Simmons from the FWB owners forum, that did the tune on these rifles, expressed that I use RWS Super Domes in .22. and .177. I`ve had an hour on the simulated pigeon heads, " Without a cleaned barrel", so I`ll now thoroughly clean the barrel, after her first groupings showed up like this. I want them both striking a match, ready for the pigeon decoying season All shots at 36 yds - 5p groups. atb Mark 6 Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Git. Finishing early and getting the paper up... Good day that. Cant beat the classic dome pellet from RWS. Doesn't come more domed than them. If my memory serves me right, there on the 'flatter side' of a dome, so no doubt him with proper thump too. Only used um when I was a kid for bashing starlings. Wonder what there like in my HW's...... 2 Quote Link to post
philpot 5,020
Nice one Mark, I bet you can't wait to get them over the deeks. Interesting how RWS Superdomes are the suggested pellet, every gun I have tried them in, they were shite but if they do the business in your guns, that is all that matters. Phil Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,558
Yeah, I`ve heard that too Phil. Did you know the RWS Super "Fields" are one very tasty pellet through the 100`s I`ll try Falcons again before I decide for good. atb mate, Mark. 1 Quote Link to post

si brown 8,486
when the domes suit a barrel there excellent pellets mark and it looks like yours are going too but check a bit further... at 30yrd in the 95 mine are bang on then at 40 they started to drift thats why i went for the h&n hunters!! as for the super field my mate won't use anything else in his .177 100 they have to be in 4.51 though.... the .52's are all over!! liking your dedication to the trusty break barrel and classic scopes! thats my dedicated sunday morning setup atb si 1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,558
Remember Si, I wont go further than 35yds with the classic 127 and non mill dot scope,- not into guessing, must admit though, I am sorely tempted to put a nice scope on her but she`s not truly classic then. atb Mark Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,558
Yes mate, I`ll buy that, the FWB Sports, when you put the cross hair on the vermin, it`s just " Good Night Vienna" Awesome hunting springers. When I was talking to Tony Wall , Sandwell Field Sports, he said the HW 95 is one of the finest, off the shelf, rifles you can buy today. He did mention HW 95 Lexus by the way ? atb Mark Quote Link to post
