Bandit 0
Have any of you guys ever used Pedialyte for your Lurchers or Terriers, and if you have how do you rate it? Any info much appreciated. Quote Link to post
sash 2
well i guess pedialyte is an electrolite.... electrolites are used to replace vitamins, minerals and salts that the body looses through piss, sweat and the transfer of heat energy. The best way to recover is through rest, which the body naturaly needs to help grow and rapair the muscles tissues which have been damaged through strenus activity. Electrolites can be used to an extent, but too much can damage the body system, and it could take twice or three times as long to recover if the dosage is wrong. Even though dogs have a different body set up to us, i guess the same principle apply, i could be wrong but this is very unlikley, (no jokes please from tarmac or diesal). lol hope this helps all the best Quote Link to post
Bandit 0
Sash, I know what an electrolite is and what it does and have been using them for some years. I was being specific to "Pedialyte". Thanks for the info though it might help someone out there who doesn't know anything about them and might start them using one Quote Link to post

Guest J.P.
yes, pedialyte is a good source for electralytes--have used it on more than one occasion after hard work, in extreme conditions. Have used Gatoraid in a pinch also. I think it's the easiest and quickest way to get what you need for the dogs. Quote Link to post
