air gun ant 1,666
If your setting lines on the beach just make sure you are the first one there when the tide goes out! There people out walking the dogs at all times of day and night and some greedy dogs! 1 Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
Anybody use lines off beaches in north east england? Skeggy in the 80's. Quote Link to post

There people out walking the dogs at all times of day and night and some greedy dogs! Not just on set lines! I hooked a greedy patterdale through the nostril when I was beachcasting for flatties on the Moray firth near Nairn.....it was trying to scoff my bait.....you should have seen the three of us trying to get the hook out of its beak.....it was worse than hooking the tern with a toby..... terryd 8,551
I hooked a seal once that learnt to ambush me as I reeled fish in. It would see me setup from bloody miles away then suddenly appear just in front of me and wait. It was a race to beach the fish before it intercepted and one time I failed. That put a bend in me rod Edited June 2, 2017 by terryd 4 Quote Link to post
