BGD 6,436
FBI 'warned MI5 in January that Salman Abedi was planning terror attack in UK' British intelligence agency MI5 was reportedly warned by its US counterpart that Salman Abedi was planning an attack on UK soil, three months before he blew himself up outside an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester. FBI agents are said to have informed British officials that the 22-year-old was part of a North African Islamic State cell based in the north west of England that was plotting an attack in the UK. Abedi was reportedly placed on a US terrorist watch list in 2016 after he came to the attention of intelligence agencies during an investigation into terrorist groups operating in Libya. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/fbi-warned-mi5-january-manchester-attack-bomber-salman-abedi-manchester-arena-a7760756.html

I've no doubt if the full might of Western militaries was brought to bear on ISIS they'd be "wiped out" in short order and that they're not the most formidable opponents but the folk going over there aren't fighting with the full might of Western militaries backing them, they're going over there to face bullets and bombs in the fight against ISIS with nothing but minimal training and a Kalashnikov, I really can't see how it's so offensive to say that those are some brave folk

I wonder how many sackings and resignations will happen.....probably zero

BGD 6,436
I'm sure it was embarrassing for May to be told that one of her pet Libyan "freedom fighters", who she let travel to Libya to fight no questions asked, was going to commit a terrorist attack in the UK but just burying her head in the sand and not acting on the intelligence is truly disgusting. Blood on her hands

gnasher16 30,063
Bold statement mate and one I think is now impossible . Well that was explained to me by a couple of chaps far more qualified than you or i and when broken down it wasnt too difficult to believe if the numbers are any way accurate. Don't worry about it I've been called worse and emotions were understandably running high.
