tsteve9999 456
Out with the dogs today and they started mooching in a bit of bramble in the very centre of the woodland we walk. The old dog then appeared with this in his mouth and I'm stuck as to what laid it. It's at least as big as the eggs we have from our hens, was just lying on the floor with no sign of a nest nearby or in the trees overhead. The only thing I would think big enough to lay it would be a Goose or similar but this was sitting at the highest point in the centre of a fair sized wood and the nearest water or fields that I've seen them is at least a quarter of a mile away. Looking at pictures of Canada geese eggs online the ones I see are more cream than anything whereas this has a green/grey tinge Anyone have any idea what laid it and also how it could get there? tsteve9999 456
No chance mate, way too big. Our hens lay big eggs and this one is at least as big.

tsteve9999 456
Mallards are the most common duck round here so it would make sense but are they big enough to lay an egg that size?
