when out mooching!

im quite new to it all myself but have already learnt to be quiet etc but my mate came for a mooch today and was smoking would this make any difference.?

my uncle threw my fags while out lamping 1 nite i was just lighting up and he grabbed them he said rabbits would smell us coming.

 

is there anything you guys/girls wont allow while out hunting?

i always found if i smoked i hardly had any rabbits as there sense off smell is a lot better than ares so will go to ground if they smell anything unnatural

I dont use deoderants/aftershave before i go ferreting/shooting but i do when i get back .My ferreting partner smokes ,i dont so he has a tab as we walk to burrows not while the ferts are down.Drinking alcohol when out hunting not a good look in my opinion if you want to go to the pub.Each to their own tho...

I can understand the not smoking if out shooting, as well as watching wind direction, carrying the smoke etc, but do tend to smoke while ferreting, although I will move about to make sure the wind is taking the smoke away from the burrows were ferreting, have never found this to produce less rabbits, always think that the rabbits are gonna have enough to think about with 3,4, or 5 ferrets running around the burrows after them to start worrying about the smell of smoke "up there"

me and magwitch normally take double figures while ferreting
