THE STIFFMEISTER 15,919
If you had the money, might have been worth asking to see a partnered vet / senior for a second opinion If your at a decent livestock vet like the one I use rather than a "practice" or a "consultancy" said vet would be getting a chewing guaranteed. I'd look at changing vets mate, I had a vet who was so good with my dogs, I followed him round as he moved practices Quote Link to post
THE STIFFMEISTER 15,919
Ps just to through a little light into vets 2 years ago i walked my dog on the Heath we live near and he ran straight into a branch eye first Rang the vet to meet me at the surgery, he was out of hours as well, stopped at home to pick up the credit card en route and told the wife to put the dinner in the oven Why? Cause it was xmas f***ing day!!! Went in and said , listen if this is over 500 just stuck him in the bin The vet was the senior partner and knew the score , old country gent, I helped to sedate him and in the clean up afterwards after the stitching As he was cleaning up, he winked and said "happy Christmas kid " Nice to see there's a few around who aren't just after your cash 3 Quote Link to post
ginger beard 4,652
finding a good vet aint easy.i took my dog to coombefield vets in axminster, devon and was told she had kennel cough when infact she had a diagramtic hernia and her liver was in her chest cavity.couldn't even get my money back for the totally wrong consultation fee either. 1 Quote Link to post
jeemes 4,484
most of these pet vets give advice about nutrition and feeding but most have little knowledge of working dogs and feeding. they are mostly trying to sell you some top price kibble. Quote Link to post
