earth-thrower 493
Got a surprise, when the farmer phoned, saying there was 'molehills',all over a silage field,i did a month ago.(only caught two, there,at the time) thing is,it was a damp field,... but plenty 'field drains',there,....with alot of those 'depressions'(sink holes),indicating this. When I walked it,i found about eight or nine,of these, with a 'string' of molehills, coming out, each one ! Quote Link to post
earth-thrower 493
Perfect... Aye Phil,... this very 'dry' spring, has drawn them, too that spot,.... ? could be doing, with a 'bit' o rain now, in these parts ? ( 'doe' moles are just about ready too drop, their young now, where i am),.....if this 'lack o rain' is gonna continue, into summer, its not gonna help the moles (as far as 'disperal' & ultimately survival, of young uns, are concerned ?) LuckOrJudgement 437
It's been dry for weeks where I an and the catch rate has tumbled. Luckily the worm juice on cotton wool has been luring the trickier beggars out of the depths. 1 Quote Link to post
