Foxtrot 24
Heres a few photos of a small farmer gun pack that we run in the hills of mid wales...6 couples comprising of 4 english foxhounds and 8 beagles. We were out the weekend in possibly the coldest easterly wind Ive ever experienced (think there may be snow in the air!). Were not a very big pack, but are in demand from the local farmers! Started the day off by walking the rough hill which consists of gorse, feg and rushes, and picked the trail up early which did not come to much until the hounds managed to take it off the cold and windy hill and into the shelter of the wood. The scent was pretty good, and they went well on the trail until they pushed it to a gun. We tried a few more small coppices but drew a blank and called it a day at 2pm, hounds boxed, farmer happy and off to the pub for a few beers in front of the fire to discuss the days form. I hope to keep updating as the season goes on.....hope you enjoy the pictures!?? Quote Link to post
