poxon 5,741
run all sorts off different lurchers over a good few years,my own and good mates dogs, when i used to do alot of daytime work always worked beddyxs with whippet or grejyhound in them, now as im getting older and where i live these last few years i have gone back to my first true love in lurchers the deerhoundx greyhound hybrids, not every bodys cup of tea,but this type of lurcher really helped me out when times were hard,so its definetly the deerhoundx for me, closely followed the beddy x, every body has there favourite type of lurcher, but if it suits your life style ,what you hunt, and type of land you run on, then atb. totally agree with this reply mate Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
Of the dogs I have had or seen I would have my wife's Russell x whippet again if I could. He's nine now and getting on a bit but still gives 100% at whatever you ask him to do .... except being quiet. 9 f***ing years I've spent trying to stop him whining in the car on the way out but he still does it lol 2 Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Lurcher cross lurcher , they suit me Spot on that. I've never really targeted a specific type or cross myself. Got a deer/Collie/whip/grey and a Wheaten/Collie/bull/grey here both lurcher to lurcher and they suit me. I do fancy trying a saluki bull grey to saluki bull grey at some point though. I've seen a few and they've all been good dogs and turn their paw to anything types. Quote Link to post
