Weihrauch diopter with now on both diopters iris extenders fitted to the same irises which are the Centra Twin. My best 77 the top gun blue iris will out to 28 yards (max in garden) beat all my 10 meter recoilless 10 meter target guns. FWB etc.

FWB 300su (universal). I have a Modern Iris on it now. I shoot out to 25 Yards bench rested. Its only 6ft lbs It was made for some Olympics a long time ago as a 10 meter rifle. Its a joy to cock and shoot. If they made it today I think you would need a Bank Loan to buy it. Second Hand today. £350 ish although I paid a lot more for this example.

Yerr, I remember them, I used to shoot at a local club and some of the lads had feinwerkbau’s, original 66 and 75 and anschutz 250. They were great at the time but out of my price range. In fact, I nearly bought an original 75 last year and wish I had as it was a lovely example. The feinwerkbau 300 series were more reliable long term I think, as their patented sledge system was a simpler design. The original 66 and 75 has a complicated opposed piston system and the piston washers were also prone to fall apart. Not an easy fix. You probably know all this anyway.

I have the 66 and the 75 the 75 just beats both my 300's

How do they fare at 25 yards Tom?

Well personaly I think we should remember that these guns were made to brilliantly perform at 10 Meters. I know people shoot them out to 50 yards but I see no point in overstretching them. I only Bench Rest and I am looking to do groups about one third of the size of a 5p. This I can do very regularly at 20 yards and often at 25yards. If I pushed it out further than this the groups would open up and a lot of my pleasure would be lost. Another factor with these target guns is the wind. At 6 ft lbs mine seem to be quite suseptible to wind. I suppose the problem is the slow pellet. Curiously I have a HW77 that consistantly beats the 300's at any range from 5yards to 25yards both wearing a diopter and circle front. Here is another. Diana 75. my latest.

Here's a couple more that I recently acquired, When my mate bought the mk3, I asked for first refusal if he decided to sell it!! 

 

The stock on the Webley mk3 was reworked by the late Don Robinson of Halifax and is the nicest Mk3 stock I ever recall having!

I bought one of those when they where first imported by Hull cartridges. I only kept it for six months because i didn't get on with it. Heavy for carrying and not particularly nice to shoot. I knew nothing of tuning airguns then and that is probably what it needed. I bought a Sharp Ace in it's place and still have it and use it regularly on vermin around the garden.
