fergie 0 Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 I can make a purse net but i watched somone doing on a dvd last night and his are as follows 1-run 11 loops 2nd run 13 loops 3rd to 18th run 15 loops 19th run 13 loops 20th run 12 loops 21st run 11 loops This seemed to be a very big purse net so how do you configure your nets. maty j 6 Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 you can shorten or leghten your nets by adding rows (if thats the correct word, having a mental block!) or widen them by adding more meshes. i do mine with 9 on the ring, step it out every row by one till you reach 18. knit another 2 rows of 18 then reduce back to 9 before casting off. if you mean the nets big as in the length, supose that depends on the size of mesh board you use aswell. i use a 2 1/8 inch and the 20 rows i knit is plenty big enough for most holes but i allso knit some slightly smaller ones for tighter holes were i need the net to purse up fast before it gets snagged on something.
