it was great to get back in the zone standing on the bow searching and hunting down tampas finest gamefish shame i didnt get either of the above lol, everything seemed right the sun the tides 15 to 20mph wind and temps,, see over tarpon in 3 days most over 100lb , from the off i new we was up against it , the fish were acting wierd moving fairly quick and deep with none laid up or near the top , me bro was chucking live bait at them but they just wernt playing ball , so when my fly was cast and stripped past there noses they just blanked it , out on the beach flats of anna maria i see a chance at a group of 8 fish the 2 at the back were the smallest tarpon ive seen at about 60lb and they seem to act a bit different to the others , i cast to the lead fish with no take i hauled up and stuck it infront of the smaller tarpon it rushed the fly sucked it in and ya know i got the old in out and off feeling as the hook failed to hang on ,, caught a bunch of seatrout and lady fish but the big girls just wernt playing ball its all part of the game we play il be back as keen as ever next season

I'm a five minute walk from the sea and have only been out once. I really need to take some time off from work and get out for a few hours...it would also help if I knew what I was doing
