A Massive Shock... Warning

Recommended Posts

Makes you wonder is it mould off of 1 particular weed or plant. My father used to bed the dogs outer pens in grass cutting years ago. There was probably lads lost dogs in the past and never went to vets and never knew what it was and just carried on as normal

Cheers for the kind words lads....   Good news, I'm off to pick her up... she's coming home!! Not sure whether she'll ever be like she was before but none the less at least she's pulled through...

Well lads the last 24 hours has been a real eye opener for me, in all the wrong ways! Yesterday morning I got up, ran all four dogs and left for work taking the big lurcher with me, my terrier (bella

Just had a call from the vets and she is doing good, she's sat up and aware of what's going on.. she's passed blood earlier but this has stopped now... looks like she's going to pull through... tests

Sorry for your loss mate I've not red every post as I'm at work but are you sure it was mould as my dog had fits and seizeiers but that was down to him drinking from a puddle with anti freeze in

My initial thought was poison mate, I don't put any poison down obviously but I feared they had found some from the previous owners..

But the blood tests didn't show this, very early the vet said it was a type of toxin from mould, when they had theyre stomach pumped hay like material came up... I checked the big compost heap last night, they had obviously been digging in it and it matches what was in their stomach... plus as I lifted the grass there is a lot of white mould forming where the grass, vegetables etc are rotting....

Unfortunately everything is pointing to this being the case...

Both were fit and healthy at 1-30 by 2-45 Martha was being rushed to vets.....it's a shocker mate

We had a cry last night, they were up this morning and positive about Martha... you can imagine the spoiling she'll get now, I'll give up from now on, she'll be on the sofa and I've told even in the kids beds... all rules out of the window!! Lol
