cwmman 3
right guys all i seem to hear lately is people complaining about BASC not wanting to challenge firearms licensing depts on the letter of the law that they are quite happy to let things gpo along rather than force the issue even less so now members have legal liability cover there seems to be a great aversion to handgun issues for dispatch by them according to what im hearing & many now consider them in the establishments pocket, not wanting to upset or challenge the establishment but rather to post a face & go along with things i must say this saddens me as i have always received great help from their firearms dept when needed but this dose concern me as it seems to be an increasing trend when in gun shops & at events etc, whats your opinion? jayjay 264
I subscribed to BASC for a number of years up until last year when I wanted a bit of help and advice over a variation in firearms, as I was having a bit of nonsense with my firearms department...........after a number of phone calls back and for, BASC clearly didn't want to help and told me my back was against the wall............ they'll never get another penny out of me and I consider the organisation to be a waste of time and money, they put the subscription up every year and there are countrysports organisations out there which offer more or less the same, or near enough insurance packages for a fraction of the price, just my opinion and experience........... all the best jay
Deadeye18 164
Not been a member for a while and from what I've read basc just don't want to rock the boat, just take the money and run. It's a pity we don't have American style NRA where they go for the throat every time where an attack on one is an attack on all.If we had that then just maybe we'd still have pistol shooting and slr's in private ownership.Shooting as a sport needs a gigantic kick up the backside because shooters won't even back each other up and to have toothless organisations propping it up is leaving us all exposed.
