Welsh_red 4,645
I need to get a live trap for mice. I've read some plastic ones are susceptible to being chewed on Any tips on what to avoid and what to buy Quote Link to post
Gravy 18
I have caught a mouse once using a live trap - the simple tilt trap where the weight of mouse entering closes the door. It was not down too long so can not comment on being chewed. Why do you need to catch alive? Quote Link to post

Gravy 18
Here is an easy one to try Get a heavy pyrex glass bowl, turn upside down on the floor, prop it up using a small piece of biscuit, a few crumbs within. With some luck the mouse will go in and eat the crumbs and eat the biscuit and (here is the luck bit) the bowl falls and traps the mouse Quote Link to post
talpa 55
We used to catch them in milk bottles as kids, peanuts in the bottom and wedge the neck up a bit so the bottle wall is at least 30degrees. They can enter but cant get back out as they cannot get grip on glass. 3 Quote Link to post
