I dont know whats more shameful the fact he hit her or the fact he couldnt knock her off her feet ......c**t !

It seems to me that the more licensing and regulation these lads have the less actual common sense and savvy they need.......back in the times when you got this type of job based on your reputation or

try being nicer to them? Lol

I worked the doors for 15 years + and this nonsense of a "good doorman shouldn't need to throw a punch" well you must have had an easy gig. There a lot of time where nothing but a dig will stop them!

most definatly mate,,,,most young lads these days a strong fit lads,,,restraint is not easy,,especialy if they have had a sniff...

Best doorman iv ever met was a giant polish lad always jolly an welcomeing to all you could tell he was a hard lad just by how calm an happy he was.

even when things got heated between to groups he,d just walked over and in a few minutes he'd have both groups laffing.

hes used to have a giant jar of peanuts an offer them to people when they were leaving an give a homeless busker money to play oasis to him when he was standing on front.

I've met that sort before - they're a cracking breed but, unfortunately they're very few and far between.

I used to supervise a lot of hen parties. Apart from a few women who were genuinely masculine/pissheads, I think the vast majority of women were just acting, pretending to enjoy themselves. I always thought they were just going through the motions of screeching at balloon pricks, hysterically laughing at male strippers etc. If you looked at them in unguarded moments a lot of them looked pissed off. I got the feeling a lot of them would rather have been home drinking hot chocolate and watching the telly. .

Your absolutely right women are different to men like that a group of blokes can go out and sit round picking their nose and say this is a load of ol bollocks lets go somewhere else.....whereas a group of birds will just start acting all wild and crazy pretending their having a really great time even if they,re not.

Like all walks of life mate, you get wallys and decent lads......door work seems to attract both as much as any job.

I always thought the outskirts of London night clubs and pubs attracted some right tits with the very occasional nice man where as a little place called Gas I used to pop into in the west end all the lads were sound not least the little white middle aged man who seemed to be the main chap.

Maybe they just had to be more professional about things in the west end, I don't know.

I'm a big believer in everyone ends up where they should be so maybe this bird and that bouncer were made for each other if you get my drift.

The Gass Club behind Leicester Square i remember it well you had Equinox which was inside the Empire at the time,Hippodrome,Napoleons,Ronnie Scotts, the Comedy Club,Gass Club all within a hundred yards it was the busiest night spot in London at that time and for that reason plod gave you a little bit more leeway on them doors.....but again that was before the days of licenses etc.....the biggest issue bouncers had back then was getting turned over by each other there was no loyalty as the West End was up for grabs it wasnt like working on the manor where you was fairly together i remember a big flare up outside Charlie Chans underneath Walthamstow Dogs one of the lads ended up having his life support switched off that all started from a bouncer getting too rough with a girl its just something most decent chaps find hard to watch.
