Could someone explain to me the difference in these welsh hill foxes ran for a while with hounds compared to Irish hill foxes or Scottish/English hill foxes? Genuine question and don't say nationality lol.

Any hill fox not just Wales

Compare one of them to a fox in the Duke of Beaufort country and there's a massive difference. Obviously there's good foxes in the DOB country too but mainly the ones I seen when invited there i could dig with my 13 year old fat Russel.

I don't find he chalk all that bad myself...no different on the dog just different on the man on the banjo. Can be tight and the chalk won't give like some soil do...iv a ten year old dog here, he's not mine...by far not the best dog iv seen but dug f*ck out of him in chalk with no problems at all. The type of dog that n.s liked apparently. He's not my cup of tea or what I strive for in a terrier but what he's accounted for there'd be alot of people whod rate him and jizz in they're pants for him.

Foxes are foxes are foxes. You get good and poor specimens in every hunt country. Shire Hill fell moorland. Working terriers year after year and both sides of the British Isles ive seen that foxes in far away pastures haven't altered there dna and become wolves. And never will.

When you come here mate they make allowances for you sensitive Welsh types .All the best are kept back for us carrot crunchers to see at their best.

Foxes are foxes and all the same to any decent dog but only my opinion mind and experience all over the UK.

Yes a fox is a fox. But as been said the man had a job to do...his terriers suited the country where everything was artificial and easy. If he came to Wales and had a stubborn hill fox his little bitches that would harass a fox and happy to chase them about wouldn't suit. But then something that would slaughter a fox would suit here (on times and pre ban) he could have had a kennel full of JC's if he wanted to i expect.

What I was getting at is you need a dog that'll stay not a dog that'll give up if it don't go it's way . I wasn't saying it's harder for the dog and a fat dog wouldn't last the course

Thought ns had digging bitches!! Lol, foxes are foxes the only differnces is terrain! there's a good few lads in Wales that do the terriers for the hill packs that keep ns stuff! Also the lads with the Pelenna valley use to do days at the Royal A in the same week with out any bother with there Stevens dogs..
