Blueboybilly 164
My young dog didn't start to jump until he was 12 months.. he's over 2 years old now and still slowly progressing st his own rate.. I haven't forced it one bit because I actually prefer him going under Quote Link to post
Aussie Whip 4,092
I think just walk them through thick bushland as pups will follow you over fallen trees etc also teaches them to avoid obstacles when running,as apposed to teaching them on open ground. My 2 little whip/stags easily clear 6 foot, but when working properties near busy roads we take my mates whippet cross which won't attempt to jump anything taller than itself,so not jumping comes in handy on occasion. 1 Quote Link to post
Boristheblade 1,367
A dog that won't jump is no use to me, be fecked if the dog thinks I'm lifting him over every bit of fence, if they don't jump they get left behind. My little busher is around 14" n he can clear standard sheep mesh fencing so there's no excuse for a lurcher not to jump. 1 Quote Link to post
