Do it before you fall in love with a women!!!

LOL, I f***ing should I'm just a completely typical nerd with an aversion to change. I can come up with a million reasons why not, none of them really valid.
You can always find reasons not to mate, I used to be the worst for that :-(

Are you still in your 20s Born?

28
.....& no commitments! Great position to be in ;-)

A truly envious position  Make the most of it Born so we can all live vicariously through you

Do it

I have a wife, a mortgage, 2 children, a mother who is f***ing torture one day then my best mate the next,

At times, I've always screwed the nut, I behave, I'm not a Friday post work drinker, my family come first, obligations second and myself a long way last

I feel now I'm at a cross roads, I've tried things that haven't panned out, I've missed certs that I couldn't be bothered with, I've changed, for the better for my family

But selfishly, a part of me always yearns to one day, step away from it all, not for anyone else, for myself

Places appeal to me, I'm too patriotic to abandon this isle but some times when I feel that African ulu on my feet or see a New Zealand vista or an American landscape, I wish, I had, less, in my life

Nothing would ever take me away from my woman or my children, but I want them to live somewhere where they can move forward and live not stand still and exist

I really want to hunt mountain lion with dogs, and bowhunt bears, sadly as a non-resident i have to go with a guide service though the places i want to hunt have over the counter tags, the cost isnt overly prohibitive, but my priorities at the moment have tied up any excess income in educating 2 kids,as soon as they graduate i have to do both hunts.Anyone contemplating emigrating opportunity knocks softly at times,do it if it feels right.

Its wouldnt be the hunt climaz, the kill, its the whole event i would imagine, the hounds, the country, the collective experience.

Yeah I could happily do it as long as there was no kill, the dogs would still be getting the work.

Cheers gents.

Wolfdog, sorry about hijacking your thread mate, wasn't intentional. Tell us more about your hunting! I enjoy reading your threads.

Like I said earlier, The US, or North America more generally would be a hunting dream of mine so reading what you guys do is interesting.

I've enjoyed reading some of the stories from Theodore Roosevelt and his hunting life, a very full and varied life at that. A man after my own heart!

ChrisJones sent me some pictures of critters he had in his back yard! Totally crazy and wild as f**k, I love it!

PS, Chris if you're reading this, your offer wasn't just 'liked' and overlooked, genuinely thanks and I'll remember it if ever I can take you up on it.

That's the thing, I'm not really a traveller, got no great compulsion to 'see the world' like a lot of folks. NZ just looks such a fantastic place to live though, as you say. A beautiful wild country, with huge national parks to hunt all sorts of stuff, culturally quite similar to Britain, drive on the left, much more freedom to do what you want and arguably the best part their population is 5% that of the UK. 5%!!!!!!!

The downside is that their industry is largely based around agriculture and tourism, especially on the south island. I'm 7-8 years into a technical career in the oil industry and I don't really feel like I have many transferable skills if I'm honest. I was supposed to be doing some work in Oz a year back and I was going to use the opportunity to check out NZ but it never materialised. I still work with the Ozzies, but that's not NZ. LOL

There's other stuff but I don't want to completely ruin Wolfdogs thread.
