Uk View On American Hunting

Recommended Posts

How I feel personally? Envious.. If you want to hunt (legally) here you have to ask the permission of somebody who might take one look at you and tell you to piss off just because they dont like the look of you, over there you just get your permit and away you go..

Brits have it easier than you think. I think it's probably easier to get permission to hunt in the UK, without permits, restrictions & money than a hell of a lot of other countries.

Just wanted to add, if I ever could afford it North America would be the first place on my mind for a foreign hunting trip with too much to mentioned here.

Only other place that might come close would be New Zealand.

A pal of mine hunted hogs in New Zealand, there was a thread about it on here years ago.......he loved it mate.

I remember. That was years ago now, lol. Think it got made into an article?

Tahr and chammy in the mountains, Bush hunting big red stags in the roar and duck hunting from blinds.... be f***ing amazing. All their deer, hogs and goats etc are classed as invasive so no bag limits I believe and they have huge wild national parks to hunt them in like the yanks do. It's just pure freedom! The culture is more like rural England too.

I'd like to do some Hawking in the US. Falconry is taken very seriously there.....a two year apprenticeship is required with a mentor before you can legally hunt on your own, unlike the UK, where any clown can just decide he wants a golden eagle!!

You can also trap your own hawk & then release it at the end of the season. Sustainable falconry!

what exactly you mean by hare coursing ? and we do have more than just predators. plenty of small game, upland birds , bowfishing whitetails, and invasive are pretty prevalent in some states. Again depends on state

Louisiana !!!

Sounds like my kind of place!........sadly "f***ing about for a living" isn't a recognised occupation for immigrants I don't think so sadly I don't think Mr Trump will be accepting my application any time soon.

I suppose I could try for political asylum/refugee status?
