Not just big cats we have roaming the countryside in the UK, we've got some big primates also. Managed to capture this image of a mountain gorilla in a secret location in the Scottish highlands just a

Id like to thank socks, had a lovely drive up saw my first hare of the year and also a red kite on the way back, met a decent like minded bloke that has certainly had many years experience and knows h

Fukcing cockney who wouldn't know a cow if it took a shit in his car telling me I don't know my arse from my elbow ... cheeky fukcer ... right I am no big cat expert even though I have seen a fair few of all different breeds in the wild BUT I do know what lives in the British countryside and I'm sure I can tell a big cat from a fukcing hedgehog lol .......

" right I am no big cat expert ".......was the point i was making........if i want to know something about my car engine im not going to ask a plasterer !

Besides which what do you know about big cats the only time you,ve seen a big pussy was a sticky fumbling in the hay shed with Big Bridget all them years ago.

However Cushty your miles off with all this.......if Socks says he,ll be in a certain place at a certain time then he,ll stand on and be there.......he is certainly at least half a div i agree with you...... but he,s straight down the line and reliable ;)

Cocks ain't reliable
Listen cockrot I don't know what your sudden fascination with trying to abuse me is but you have a track record of failing to turn up and everybody on here seen it for themselves when you came up with excuse after excuse not to meet me to cough up the grand for a bet ... or have you forgotten that ......

Forgotten it cocks

Thought you might have .......

While it was an educated guess....it might of been a slightly better educated guess had you informed us that your not in the Uk like most folk are......if public opinion is first presented with all the facts i very much doubt a third of the responses would be piss takes.......rather slippery of you Agent Jones :D

You're absolutely right there, mate. Context is everything, but as you pointed out you're impartial and interested in the subject matter. A third of the responses being piss takes might be a stretch but look how the last few pages play out. :D

Lets hope the UK cats if there are any don't become emboldened and move into the cities, leopards do so in Africa and india, mountain lions also it seems,i have seen a pic of one sitting in someones shed on an archery forum, and just saw this.....

it don't seem much different here mate, most of the reports I get and the animal kills I find are all just outside the city, but I guess in England it's not that easy to be away from civilisation, I think most of the early Bodmin beasts and the like were probably released animals which is why they were far outside of towns and killing loads of sheep but as they have become more naturalised they seem to have moved closer in to the outskirts of city's and prey on more natural stuff like deer who's numbers have also exploded over the last 30 years

looks like all the best bits are gone, that cat could get job in tescos
thing is it is excactly the same as the roe in the photo I put up, the mo is always the same which is why it's one of the best clues for cats in an area, this is a picture from the book, this deer was shot at 10 o'clock in the evening and when the guy went to retrieve it at 4am this was all that was left, the marks on the neck are were the guy started to remove the head before he thought a photo was needed

Greyman, have you ever found any kills stuffed in trees?

not me personally but I do know of a few found by others, a lot of the terrain I,ve been looking over is quite steep and it's hard looking upwards without going ass over tit but it's something I would like to find as its another hard to deny part of the picture, like I said before, a photo no matter how good is always picked apart so if you have all of the other parts of the jigsaw it helps form a full indisputable case,

sadly it's not the greatest footage it's at night when the camera is in black and white but it's clear enough to know what your looking at, truth be told there are no real experts in this subject just a few enthusiastic amateurs as its a mythical creature that some believe and many don't, I have had the pics looked at by a few people that I would consider expert in the subject and I can show socks the replys I have had back from them as well if it helps

know mate I have had a few looks around up near nailsworth as I was up there working for about six months and I did find a few hollowed out deer up in the valley that leads upto woodchester house near were all the vineyards are, trouble is I personally think some of these areas are just to big for one old bloke with a dodgy back and legs to be able to carry out a thorough search, you could be fifty miles away from the cat all the time a bit like the Forest of Dean loads of very good reports but were the feck would I start looking, I have been very disciplined in my search area as it only covers about 30 square miles and is just about manageable for me, but it gets tuff when you are getting good reports from all around you and you have to ignore them and just focus on the area you have chosen, plus I think due to the amount of sightings that get reported from all around Stroud there are quite a few people up there looking and camera trapping already
