"I will get him out of there inside 8." I've heard that before. Easily said. I hope it comes off. thats it Gaz , they all prob think the same now , the other contenders out there , thinking they can take him now, maybe they can ? But you can bet Gaz before AJ goes in the ring again , they will have tried to rectify things from this fight Deff mate , not saying that he wont get beaten by who ever he goes in the ring with next , but they might not have it as easy as they think , rob mccracken and his team will see to that

Like they say there's only one way to find out ...if we see the ortiz that we did with jennings and Thomson then he's in with a real shot imo ortiz needs a engaging fighter to bounce of and AJ would be that ... someone like fury on the other hand would be his worst nightmare I think ...definitely a fight I'd like to see I hope they can make it happen. gnasher16 30,121
Gnash I think Wlad was more respectful of Joshuas power than when he fought Fury. I agree maybe his best days are behind him,hes aged yes but still able to compete with any of the main Heavyweights available and also capable of another go at Joshua Cushty Not trying to prove anything or compare Fury to Pulev. Somebody mentioned Fury kept away from Wlad and threw 5 or 6 punches all fight so I put up a clip of the fight showing otherwise. I also said I thought the best Wlad looked in years was when he fought the unbeaten pulev so put a clip up that fight also . Here are the punch stats from both Fury v Wlad and Joshua V Wlad Fury threw 371 punches and landed 86 connect % 23 Wlad threw 231 punches and landed 52 connect % 23 Joshua threw 355 and landed 107 connect % 30 Wlad threw 256 and landed 94 connect % 36. Interesting stats and very comparable but seems to show that Fury was more active than a lot of people give him credit for and his tactics did have Wlad wasting a lot of shots People have been questioning why did Wlad not go for the finish and allow Joshua back into the fight ? Be interesting to see what his prediction was on the pen drive sewn into his gown that he was auctioning off for his foundation !! That could answer it . Statistics and boxing just dont work in my opinion......put it this way as a former fighter i can tell you hand on heart i would rather take 20 punches off Fury than 1 off Joshua
gnasher16 30,121
someone like fury on the other hand would be his worst nightmare I think ...definitely a fight I'd like to see I hope they can make it happen. Another way of looking at that would be to ask if Joshua would be Furys worst nightmare........i dont think Joshua suits a toe to toe tear up he doesnt have the upper body movement......but what he is good at is tracking down runners and pinning a moving target....particularly when that target is of little physical threat back to him. Its going to be interesting to see who AJ fights next don't think Wilder will be ready I haven't got much enthusiasm for the klit rematch and tyson won't be ready I don't see Parker and pulev being doing much good against AJ so that just leaves ortiz and that I'd like to see to answer some questions about ortiz more than anything but I've a feeling they are going to go the pulev route first. arcticgun 4,548
see which body fancies its name in the news by pushing him too a mandatory, however he might just have the upper hand on em, as he advertising gold at the minute and I doubt either want to upset him, he seems too want too keep up the memento and continue fighting whist he on a roll, be good too see the Wilder fight made for later this year, he just fought last month, so no real excuse not too try to get it on for unification and that would leave JP for early next year assuming he still champion, but Wlad may still fancy another go, would not surprise me at all, think the man found a new lease of life on Saturday, he looks energised, not at all like a man who lost, but a week r so might make all the difference, its not going too get any easier for him, but who knows Fury fight will be some way off so many obstacles in the way, UKAD, BBBC hearing about licence, fitness cant see it being any less than a year and half away at best,, so not even worth thinking about really, Ortiz could well be the next fight

Oh ok i beg your pardon.......i would like to see Joshua take on a lower ranked opponent next there is no rush for him to have these career defining fights its a short career to make as much money as possible and while a loss wont hurt him too much there is no point taking big risks while he is still learning the game he is at least 6 or 7 fights away from being the best fighter he can be id like to see him be allowed to reach his peak without too many hard miles on the clock but thats the downside of being an Olympian you get rushed along and chucked in at the deep end. Fury on the other hand if his camp have their head screwed on they will be trying to get their man in the ring with Josh as quick as possible before he learns too much....Joshua is only going to get better !
MickC 1,825
Hearn already trying to swerve Ortiz and Pulev off the back off Joshuas momentum and popularity. No suprises there from Hearn but I thought they would have fancied the fight with Pulev. I agree Gnash and I said earlier on in this thread even though Joshua is World Champion a few lesser opponents is whats needed before going after the other belt holders,he may beat the others now but a bit more experience will do him good. DogMan85 722
What Wlad has done is massively overlooked, he basically dominated the division for a decade and beat the top contenders barring his brother.
DogMan85 722
What Wlad has done is massively overlooked, he basically dominated the division for a decade and beat the top contenders barring his brother.Wlad is an all time great Definitely, he had his fragilities but he overcame them and was king of the division for basically a decade. If people think he's always been a boring fighter I suggest you go look at some of his early career.
