Back in the day we have ran them down Leicestershire and they have been seen not far from where I live in Rotherham. Edited April 13, 2017 by DogMan85 1 Quote Link to post
bell 3,606
I live next to a place that has reds in the park. I'm not a long dog man but read your posts out of interest. Often the deer are right up to my boundary fence and I often think about posts claiming to take them. The big lads are seriously big fecking animals, I know they are park deer but they are are a big lump on the hoof. The hinds I can see would be doable but the big boys it would take some dog to take one down single handed....looking at close quarters the size of them I would say no.... 6 Quote Link to post

DogMan85 722
I can remember the last time I saw one ran a good few years back by a kid I know who had some huge Bull/Greyhound/Deerhound types, I don't think they were the quickest of animals but they were proper powerhouses. The Stag was turned into the middle of the field and we slipped the dogs and no word of a lie the Stag straight lined the Fcukers, jumped a massive ditch and made it's escape into the woods. The way the beast was galloping no dog on God's earth would have stopped it single handed, it would have bulldozed the lot of the fcukers at that rate. 4 Quote Link to post
Lukey12 126
I don't believe these can be taking single handed... I would have to see it with me own eyes... which obviously won't happen now... but for me no way can these be taken single handed 3 Quote Link to post
