Man Dragged Off Plane

Recommended Posts

Having thought about it a bit now, people in general do tend to over react in these situations, do they not?

I remember years ago about to board a plane back from New York, when it was cancelled due to a crack in the windscreen, a bit of a pisser, but we were all offered a night at a decent hotel near the air port until the next day, I thought "fcuking yes!" Haha......However, there was a limited amount of seats left on another flight, first come first served, Jesus Christ!!! The scene that took place next was reminiscent of the evacuation of Saigon! Haha......me & my mate just looked on bewildered & disgusted, but at the same time wondering what the next hotel bar would be like?

The fault is that these hospitality industries are constantly overbooking. They do it everywhere. You should see people's holiday's ruined when they get to their destination and they can't get a hire

Totally wrong, a paying customer has been dragged off of a plane (somewhat comically) to make room for one of their members of staff...so a potential doctor has been prevented from doing his job just

Few years ago the wife & i were on a flight to spain & already sat in our seats. All other seats taken & 2 people just stood in aisle?? When they said over tannoy plane over booked & need two passengers to get off they then offered £200 free overnite accommodation with No guaranteed flight nxt day??? No takers. Couple stood in aisle refused to get off. So they announced that they would evict the last two people to book in.... An 8yr old girl & her 5yr old brother who were part if a family booking!! The fcuking plane went mad. They then upped offer too £500 & two studenty looking lads took offer. Big round of applause & as they walked up aisle passengers were giving them £10 & £20 notes as tips. Couple that were stood in aisle had a very uncomfortable flight & two kids that had there names read out over tannoy were in floods of tears. We then had too wait for luggage to be off loaded etc. f***ing right mess up. Atb

Paying customers shouldn't get bumped for staff, period, but it looks like their stock is down 4% this morning alone. That could lead to $800m being wiped off the face of the company.

So if you're flying UA in the near future expect to pay a 600% surcharge for your inflight sandwich.

Sympathy level = Zero! :bye:

Exactly...kicking paying customers off to accommodate your staff is a load of bollocks

Particularly in circumstances as in this case where the crew *could* have driven to their next job rather than deadheading.

The guys behaviour just gets worse I honestly can't believe folk are defending this guy. He's a waste of skin.

OK so the guys a complete cretin but the way the airline handled it is still wrong and needs to be addressed

He IS a doctor I believe. Just a disgraced one who had his licence revoked in the past.

Same as Davee above says, we're going to have to agree to disagree. A vietnamese homo being kicked off a plane on an internal flight in America will have no bearing on my life whatsoever.

Still think it's a shame they didn't beat him a bit more.

I thought I read he was struck off, I qould certainly hope he was for swapping prescriptions for sexual favours... :icon_eek::D

I have to admit that reading the article cured me of any sympathy for the chap but I do worry that the airline could do this to a normal person for the sake flying the staff.

They seem to be a law unto themselves in the US when it comes to flighs and the people they employ in the TSA have to be seen to be believed...
