Well lads having a nightmare with the stock

stripped her back only to find silver paint under the brown paint and then a black primer under that

iv had industrial paint stripper on her it moved the paint but not all the primer which has sunk into the stock leaving dark patches

that i cant get out no mater how much i sand it

iv got some more parts on the way including a new stock by way of Stephen (mad4it ) a big thanks to him

but i think it may turn out quiet nice once i stain it we will see

Once I did a B2 stock and a lot of it was chunks of wood filler! So looks like you got one of the good ones.

This has some wood filler in it to Tom lol

Im going to try it with the stain and see how she turns out if she dose not turn out good then its the black stain im afraid

but this is going to a friends son so im going to polish the crap out of her internals lol

and push the power up a bit more as well .

Its going to be his first spring rifle a gift from me to him

so i want it to be right, 11,30fp should do the trick lol

after all underdog dose ok with Chinese models he has

im well impressed with his hunting posts with them just go,s to show you dont HAVE TO HAVE A HW OR AA OR THE LIKE TO HAVE A GOOD RIFLE

I think you are right actually Mark. A lot of people seem to buy them as a cheap entry level gun to get started with.

:hmm: And now I'm thinking, I've been spoilt rotten with the rifles I've had and currently own for years on end. I've never in my life owned a cheap and cheerful air rifle like this one. It means, to come to shoot with something as simple and basic, as rough and ready as these Chinese guns, my spring rifle techniques might not work so well and I turn out to be a poor shot with one? :hmm:

Hmm I wonder... :hmm:

It is not the OLD Aluminium Wood Paint Primer Mac is it? In the old days we put on a water primer then the "Lead-Aluminium?" paint primer undercoat then finishing coat on all weather proof work. Lead-Aluminium Paint was toxic stuff mate. Be careful.

All the very best to you and yours

Not by the time im done with this one Simon

she will have more power

shoot nice and smooth

and have next to no recoil

all ways wanted to tune a old Chinese springer

that will shoot as good as any hw or AA springer

she may not look as good as one but she will shoot as good
