Lamper121 239
HI All, Im considering buying a HW95k .177 for my Son for his birthday. I can only find good reviews for this rifle which has pretty much cemented my decision to buy one. Has anyone had any bad experiences with this rifle? Quote Link to post
si brown 8,486
I've got one in .177 and it's an ace riffle, it's a proper bag filler! Rabbits and pigeons to 60yrd if the weathers good.. was firing at just under 12 straight out of the box Atb Si Quote Link to post
just-A-snap 1,269
I find that those who have a Dud and have had a bad experience with anything will always shout the loudest. If good reviews out number the bad then big money is being spent or it is true. Hope your son and you enjoy the rifle that you finally chose. All the very best Quote Link to post
Deadeye18 164
I've got one in.22 .Wasn't too impressed with it at first, low on power, very harsh recoil, very hold sensitive and I nearly sold it BUT after putting 2 tins of pellets through it settled right down now, little recoil, power has gone up and groups very tightly. philpot 4,986
It was so good Deadeye that you had to tell us three times Pleased it worked out matey. Both HW and Air Arms springers will benefit from a drop in kit along with a bit of polishing, oh my word, that really does make a difference. I must say straight off that I am a total numpty when it comes to working on air rifles but a great fella from here, Charlie Caller did a brilliant job in taming my TX200HC which I could not hit a barn door with but now it is super accurate with less recoil resulting in nice tight groups. Jonjon79 13,358
Deadeye's got 4 of them in .22 - he wasn't very impressed with them at first. They were low on power, very harsh recoil, very hold sensitive. He nearly sold them but, after a couple of tins of pellets they settled right down. Now they've all got little recoil, the power has gone up and they all group very tightly  9 Quote Link to post

Lamper121 239
Haha thanks to all, especially Deadeye who is obviously a HW95k fanatic! @ Rez - .177 is the calibre I have always used, no real reason for the choice it just never occurred to me to deviate, I'm sure my Son wont really notice the difference, what's your opinion? 2 Quote Link to post
