I assume you mean "a pursuit or interest followed with great devotion" (it's hard to tell with the way you've spread your answer across multiple posts) now sure that may apply to a very small minority of atheists but for the majority atheism is simply a lack of belief in God, it's not a pursuit or interest at all and certainly not one followed with "great devotion"

I don't follow atheism with any devotion or intensity...I just don't believe, takes no energy or thinking for me not to believe so I wouldn't consider it a religion personally
