Exactly.Aint that why we try our hardest to breed from generations of the best dogs possible. So its in their blood to work.If you feel you have to tie them out on digs, show them stop ends or let them rag carcass after carcass maybe its time to either look at the stock you keep or the way you rear/socialise your pups.

I keep all of my terriers together,  always under supervision but I can keep the lot out all day without issue.  Calm and settled, no idiots tied up waiting their turn, you crack on and do it you

Spot on FD, don't follow that reply up because it can't be bettered.  I mooch around the stream behind my house with every pup I have, from 8 weeks old upwards they're given free reign to piss ab

I don't think we're talking about young entered dogs, I'm talking about unentered terriers. I want to give them the best of chance to blossom on their own,  with no excitement or intimidation from any other dog.

Calm, cool and well mannered

It works for me MG,  i  don't want my youngsters wound up or intimidated,  all I do is walk them over a few well run places and once they start to mark it's up to me to find the right sort of place to give them a fair crack of the whip

I try to stay out of the drama on this site but I can't stand it anymore. What FD said should be gold engraved and hung over your supper table. The only culls I've whelped were raised by idiots with pups pegged out and constantly talking to them.It will lead to false marks also.So in conclusion we all need to hush and let the dogs talk to us.
