Admittedly i have no idea what im on about so im simplifying it too much but there will be lots of people looking at it from the same undeducated point of view that i am and it seems like we have a real serious direct threat against our nation and way of life being forcibly brought to us on a daily basis but we are happy to sweep that under the carpet and pretend its not happening....and instead go and give it to a bunch of little Spics over a bit of rock !.....surely we have more pressing matters to attend to at this time ?

no my friend we cannot give away what our forefarthers fought for gib belongs to us !! it is of global inportance free port we keep the trade safe passing through from all the med and the suez it is of major inportance .

Our forefathers fought for Britain as well and we,re letting that be taken from under our noses yet we,re willing to throw down over Gibralta ??...dont seem right to me but im sure theres more to it ....cheers

whoooosh......it was said tongue in cheek...obviously not as funny as i think i am...

If you let someone take that jam sandwich off you by force and do nothing to get it back they might start eyeing up that fridge full of luxury food...

They're often considered strategic assets in terms of our ability to operate globally. Gib was massively important in WWII being at the mouth of the Med. The Falklands and south Georgia etc give us a

Its a no brainer to me. Because they are British! And they wish to remain so!Its the duty of our goverment and armed forces to protect them and sovereignty.

Regardless of how many and how far flung they are. To do anything less would be totally unacceptable by the vast majority of brits and a moçkery of democracy. No goverment or PM would ever even entertain it.Be political suicide for a party . They would dissappear for decades!

Worked on Gib a few times, gibraltarians are staunch pro-uk,they don't want to be called Spanish, they actually view it as an insult, but they were pro-europeans,i think it was 98% wanted to remain because 4000+ Spanish cross from la linea every morning to work on the rock, theres a statue on the Spanish side dedicated to the spaniard gib workers, if Spain wants the rock back perhaps first they should hand Ceuta back to the moroccans?Just as a token good faith gesture :whistling:
