Daystate Merlyn Mag

Recommended Posts

Well i went to the range today to put the hw35 through it paces

the testing of the 35 went well

BUT

last night when i was out with nelly shooting the merlyn JAMMED and it jammed solid

this happend a few times and it also happend the last few times out with her

so i oiled her up and she was fine

until it did it again today

turned out it was the bis mags and not the rifle now the rifle loves the bis mags but not the magazine

changed pellets to jsb heavys and it all went away never missed a beat after that lol

for some reason the bis mags were moving when the mag was in the rifle and jamming it

by the way she now loves the jsb heavy,s even better than the bis mags

im so happy i kept her now would not have liked to sell her like that

AHHH DON'T PUT BISLEY MAGNUMS DOWN A DAYSTATE BARREL. :cray::hmm:

Same thing happened trying them in my Daystate Regal Jimmy.

Carl at Airtech told me a few pointers why these must not be used.

They don't seat into the magazines comfortably, they can jam in the breech and damage the tip of the bolt-probe and the barrels are choked too which can be damaged by these pellets.

Stick with the JSB Heavies. In fact, I must try them in my regal.

That speed awareness course is okay Jimmy but it didn't help me go any faster at all!
