Thanks lads,ive used the knocker box back in the day and it never failed me, its just to compare the mk3 deben against the knocker for accuracy,some lads swear by the new mk3 im just looking for genuine answers.

Ive used both mate, and found the mk3 a bit better than the old grey. But have never been failed by either, as long as they locate the dog them I'm happy

couldn't stick the MK3 deban. Its a bit of a dinosaur.

 

The pieps and barryvox gear is far better and more reliable on your trusted workers.

Got let down by the grey box more times than I remember .Wet days ,wet earths and just plain temperamental .Had to be able to find a dog without it to get the most out a days digging ,something I practice these days too ,just in case .
