Welsh_red 4,644
Is it anything with them feeling rough after the car journey and then not feeling up to chase? 1 Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
The show fraternity put an inch or two of newspaper in the bottom of a bad travelers crate to ensure it arrives at the show with it's hair do still perfect so it must work. The only ones I've had that worked themselves in to a fit where ones who knew they were going hunting, and that's not good either. Leaving your hunt in the vehicle is no good. JMHO but bringing a pup in a vehicle as much as possible is just as important as lead training and stock breaking to getting a well socialised youngster. I even know of one poultry fancier who puts his chickens in their carrying boxes and brings his kids to school when getting them ready for a show. It's the little things that can make a difference. 6 Quote Link to post

fagaen 282
My bitch will bark constantly until shes taken out of box at the earth and if you pull up and take another dog to the earth well the box is getting pulled to pieces and usually cuts her face to bits in the process . But shes a brilliant fox bitch .i dread to think how id cope if my permission was further than 10 mins away shes very bad Edited March 29, 2017 by fagaen Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Early introduction to whatever means of travel is the answer .Dogs that play up rarely change that habit but I can't see it affecting work .If its there its there ,Excuses just mask the inevitable . 2 Quote Link to post

lanesra 3,994
My mate fishes for scallops & queenies (season depending) he's out in some rough weather , he had 2 westies , tough robust little feckers not your normal pet types , anyone 1 would be out on the boat and actually enjoyed it no matter what the weather the other would be physically sick on the boat sat in the harbour !!
