Googling symptoms and self diagnosing is the worst thing to do...I did it a few years ago and thought I was dying...turned out it was nothing. Best to get yourself to a doctor fella just to be sure. A

Bang on!...start googling symptoms & you can interpret everything as cancer....:-(

If your taking omep take a magnesium and calcium supp. Long term use of omep or lans depletes the body of mag and cal. And can cause brittle bones.... apple cider vinegar mother with manuka honey is good to balance the acids alkalines ... some people get gerd not due to too much acid but too less too . I dont get it atall no more unless i miss a tablet but still watch what i eat .

I.ll try that mate .it's just the constant acid in throat I get .no pain anyway.just constsnt swallowing.I've stopped the lanloprazoles and gaviscon isn't much use either.

Lots of saliva? Its Called water brashing common sympton of gerd mate the gaviscon really helps. They wanted take me for camera but bolloks to that i can keep it under controll if i dont certain stuff... the acid can do serious damage to your esophogus lining. Get it sorted even double up on your omeps i imagine there 20mg. So take two at 9 everymorning. The gaviscon after meals. Dont eat such large meals if possible. And never too late at night. Say after 7-8pm

I stopped eating after 6pm and began to avoid fatty foods, particularly late in the day. I would sometimes get uncomfortable after my dinner or late at night in bed but didn't realise how bad things had got until I was spitting blood one day. Saw the GP who gave me omeprazol to no effect (I spat blood again less than a fortnight later). Went to ENT for a scope and everything was fine. GP said he was certain it was caused by heartburn and gave me the 'no later than 6pm' and cut out sausage rolls advice and it worked! Good luck mate.
