ChrisJones 7,975
Any body suffer bad from heart burn.? Doesn't matter what I eat or take .nothing stops it.any one else in same boat . Have done, but I've also had an ulcer. I fixed mine with dietary change. The hard bit was identifying what sets you off the worst. A couple of years ago I went vegetarian for 3 months. Primarily to see if I could do it. I've not bad heartburn since and when I do I can identify immediately what caused it. Check with your GP to make sure it's not something more serious before you embark on any journey. If they give you meds, you'll be treating the symptoms, not curing the problem. Edited March 28, 2017 by ChrisJones

walshie 2,804
I used to get it a lot. Regular antacids wouldn't touch it. Pepto-bismol is the only thing that gave me any relief.. I worked out what not to eat in the evenings now and I haven't had it for months.
Tiercel 6,986
I used to suffer terrible with heartburn. Then after a lot of tests they found out I had a Helicobacter ulcer, can't remember now if it was two or three different Antibiotics I had to take for a week and it got rid of mine. Now because I am on a NSAID (Naproxen) for Arthritis I take one Lansoprasol per day but that is just because NSAID can cause upset stomachs. TC

BGD 6,437
Same as Chris I suffered from chronic heartburn that ended up with a nasty ulcer, after treating the ulcer I made some changes to my diet (much, much more fresh fruit and veg) and I've not really suffered since apart from when I over indulge or if I skip a meal, it's all about getting that balace right.

DogMan85 722
No in all honestly constant heartburn is a big symptom of pancreatic cancer, I don't need to say how serious that thing is.
