leethedog 3,071
Well if wellies are good enough for thousands of Irish ground workers they are good enough for me. Can't stand mud in me boots and with waxed leggings over the top ive never had any yet 1 Quote Link to post
rob284 1,682
I bought the meindl burma boots and they didn't last long, they soon fell to pieces. I Recently bought a pair of hanwag alaska and they're top quality. But you cant beat the fell boot Imo. 1 Quote Link to post

Rabbit Hunter 6,613
No matter which boots you pick, my advice would be to clean and polish them often. It takes 10 minutes and really does make a difference to the life span of your boots. 2 Quote Link to post

Seen them they look like they'd cripple ya before you broke em in and looks like if you stepped in a puddle little own a streems you'd get wet feet Fell boots are leather so they're not water proof, so what. If I didn't wear mine for a couple of weeks I'd leave them submerged in a barrel of water over night to soften them and put them on the next morning to go hunting. We're not made of sugar. I'd love to see some one treating leather boots using deer antler. I've only ever heard of it, never seen it. As has been said good cleaning and dubbing or polish adds years to any boots. 1 Quote Link to post
snizle06 202
Biggest problem with boots for digging is the soles coming of. I've had the following and this was there lifespan Le chameu = 1 season Harkilla = 1.5 seasons Jack Pyke = 1 season Meindel = 1.5 seasons Have Dunlop boots now and I think they will out live any lace up boot. 1 Quote Link to post
