Giving money via a text on telly is simply a way of clearing ones own conscience and feeding all those tosspot celebrities egos, if you are a caring person go and give an afternoon of your time to help in the local charity shop or pop round and cut your neighbours lawn if they are old or disabled, it's simple acts of kindness that count, all those country,s waving there dying babies around covered in shit and fly,s to prick your conscience are still managing to buy weapons and fund civil wars, when live aid first started I had friends working in Ethiopia and most of the aid sent was available for sale on the black market withing 24hrs, and everytime a shipment of weapons turned up all the aid boats were moved to the side so the guns could be unloaded first, and here we are 30 years on still funding these corrupt regimes, the person who's gained most out of it all is sir fecking Bob Geldof, he would just be another old washed up has been punk if it were,nt for live fecking aid so know bollacks to the lot

Maybe if they still had farmers in Zimbabwe and South Africa that could make the most out of the land it wouldn't be quite as bad as it is? Not just charities but aid and loans that have gone in to Africa the past 50 years hasn't made a difference then I don't think we can help THEY have got to change something their end. Don't know how true it is but the population of Africa has gone from 100m to a billion in under a century ?
