Bit of a sad day today the old fella passed away.wasnt a world beater by any means but had a few good results over the years .ad i said to my pal who was with me better in the field than in the kitchen .( my mum used to let him sleep in the kitchen not me ha )had a few memorable digs to the old lad and only last month i dug to a rabbit with him ha ha hed done it all .had a good final dig today and he loved every second of it

2nd dog iv lost in the 15 year iv been in the game i was ready to call it a day after today .i got a bit attatched to the old lad no doubt il be back after the summer

Sad news. That's the problem with digging this time of year, especially with big dogs. The game tends to dig tighter than ever and the dog tries to follow.

I agree with what your saying rabbit hunter . But it wasnt the case this time . It was a call out so had to go too i prefer to leave well alone this time of year.

It happened me my last day out the season last year and again in January not a nice thing to happen but theres always risks when you put them to ground.

I was gutted for you pal. We tried our best but it was too late. He died doing what he loved. Old lad went out on a high and we got our quarry but the result was a good kick in bollocks also. Think of the good times with him and enjoy your terrier work.
