I was actually refering to a people uprising or equivalent to overthrow the President mate. Think it's a real possibility as I can't see them waiting till January. But we'll have to see

You know it’s two different bills brought together don’t you mate? Trump fails to mention that or doesn’t realise himself? The Covid package isn’t part of all that other shit. But he is right it shouldn’t have been brought together in 2 massive bills no one had time to read before voting. He is also right $600 wasn’t enough, which is mostly against his own party rather that democrats I think Im right in saying?

Of course this is just mainly a little PR stunt for himself at this point & there is a little more to what he says which is also worth looking into, but requires some objectivity.

Do you know what mate, I was chatting to the Mrs last night as she has been watching the news (which I tend not to do) and I said to her that it’s bollocks really that you have to watch and then consider all the various angles on every segment.

You can’t just watch a segment and take it as factual reporting, terrible state of affairs really.

Even stuff that resonates with your own bias you have to think about is it credible or do I just like what I’m hearing because it reinforces my own prejudice.

The media should be challenging what’s being said and finding out the truth it’s how it worked until Adolfo hitler realised how easy it was to control peoples choices and decisions through media manipulation, and this lot have had 60 years to perfect it, the truth is out there it’s just getting buried deeper and deeper

You do have to cross reference all the time & check yourself. The whole Trump thing is a classic example because it’s all for or against. It’s just too easy to sit & read/listen to things that, like you say, confirm your own bias......we are all guilty of that at some point.

But I suppose it’s worth remembering that not all bias reporting is incorrect, even if we don’t want to hear it!

In a nutshell....no. A cross section of media is best in my opinion, if at all, with a compliment of what you have already established as 'Truth' over time. "There's nothing new under the sun" as the saying goes. In my opinion this means that everything has been done before and will repeat itself, always progressing in the same direction as it has always been, ie consolidating power and pushing for more control. 

It's no longer financially viable for mainstream to cover subjects truthfully in any form, because if they did, they wouldn't be here for long. You yourself are the best judge of what is going on. We only have own bias to deal with at times. Whereas those that are 'middle men' or media that inform us, have their own bias, agenda's and pay check to worry about.
