I don’t understand why folk always think that the  answer to one extreme is another. Why do you have to be a fascist or a communist? Why do you have to be anti or pro something and nothing in between. 
 

Educated discussion, debate and the like is great. 
 

You say no one listens so you have to shout and call names and act like a a bit of a thug. That’s the kind of stuff that immediately makes me stop listening.

Yes, trumps opponent is a twat, but so is trump. 
 

The old adage of my enemies enemy is my friend just doesn’t hold water, or at least maybe only very temporarily. Most people are shit. I dislike most people equally. 
 

I don’t consider myself left wing, a socialist or a communist. But I don’t overly like flag waving, gun toting, rhetoric spouting folk, who always want to tell me how their country is the greatest, their god is the greatest and all that goes with.

I like nice folk, folk with big hearts, who communicate, laugh, enjoy good food, good company, folk that appreciate the small things etc etc 

Doesn't overly matter which side of the political fence they sit, but funnily enough I don’t seem to find too many of the folk with very strong political views who spend their days getting angry .......that fit into my above remit for spending time with someone.

It’s a multi point  hope you enjoyed the read.  Mick n  Barack. Was shifting the course with his hatred of USA  when you look at some of his policies they were bordering Marxism. Something we should be very concerned about is the Met Police interviewing Darren Grimes, under caution, for a public order offence, namely "inciting racial hatred".

His crime ?  As a journalist, he interviewed Dr David Sharkey, and during the interview, Sharkey said the words "damn blacks"; take note, SHARKEY said the words, not GRIMES.

Sharkey apologised, but was never interviewed, arrested or charged with any offence.

Its interesting that Grimes was a major brexiteer, and he was charged with some spurious offence about funding and fined £20,000 ! The trumped up charges were thrown out of court on appeal and his fine quashed.

This sounds like payback, they want to get him on something, and don't care what it is !

Politicians from all parties are up in arms about this......it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Great post. This current obsession with right v left & who’s side you are on is becoming/is really unhealthy in my humble opinion. I’m amazed at how keen people are to pigeonhole themselves & revel in division.

 Ive been in the company of lefties in Manhattan  Miami  queens ny    Tampa  central   Can’t say they my kind although  I had to listen to ther shit.  And still enjoyed the night The best folk I been round. We’re out of town real working folk jovial  happy gunslingers. Fishing bbq.   Drinkers Gas guzzling hunting Lovers. All on the right  side of life real  straight up folk no bullshit. Far better than the latte cocktail pretenders.  Just from wat I’ve encountered on me travels sooner be with the real folk than the pretenders

I totally agree mate, it was a great post and it’s a sentiment I completely agree with and would like to see more of........however, here is the big BUT.......that’s not how things are.

I believe (rightly or wrongly ) that it’s not even worth having the conversation any more (save for with a few sensible lads on here of course)........lots of us tried saying we have genuine fears, grievances and are generally uncomfortable with various things, we were and are just shouted down, legislated against, vilified, criminalised, ostracised and made to feel very unwelcome in the place we thought was OUR home.

Just speaking personally I have come to the conclusion that I counted for nothing in Britain, a place that my forbares had been for at least a 1000 years and I meant nothing, they meant nothing and so my kids and their kids would mean nothing.....I just wasn’t wanted in this new version of Britain.

I am at a point where I know it’s not even worth talking and I think there are lots like me.
