Lenmcharristar 9,786
I don't see this as being Trump I see it as the people behind him. The pro Trumpers are all being pushed out, Flynn, Bannon and there was a woman recently demoted but I can't remember her name. Also another Trump favourite had his security clearance removed preventing him being on the JCS all of them were anti interventionist people. I'll see if I can dig out their names. What this shows to me is that it doesn't matter who gets in the White House, the policy will never change. I know there are people who don't like him, that's fine but look at Obama he was in the same situation. I always thought he didn't look like he believed what he was saying, often he was incoherent and rambled, almost like he was being forced to say things he didn't want to say. Maybe that was why he spent so much time playing golf. He was also anti interventionist and promised to shut down guantanamo which never happened. thats what I think too

Nik_B 3,790
If I was Julian Assange I would be sh*tting myself right now Reuters "CIA Director Pompeo calls Wikileaks a non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia." At what point do you decided it's a good idea to go and buy a few years worth of canned food?
Accip74 7,112
So when America starts becoming great again, Trump will be back in control, eh? A lot of goal posts being moved around lately it seems.....
Nik_B 3,790
So when America starts becoming great again, Trump will be back in control, eh? A lot of goal posts being moved around lately it seems..... I don't think he will ever be 100% in control of foreign policy if all of this stuff is down to him then it is true he has betrayed his supporters but I think there is more to all of this that we think or did he suddenly flipped into a globalist shill? I think it's one of those things that time will tell, obviously I didn't vote for him but I would never ever support anyone who thinks more war and bombs is the answer to the situation we're in with all the terrorism...it is just idiotic. Bombing Afghanistan doesn't make us safer when our governments then let their 'refugees' come here, pulling out would save us money and apart from a very slightly bruised ego not change things for the worse for the West at all. As I have said countless times I am 100% sure that ISIS is a proxy army created by Qatar, Turkey, the Muslim Brotherhood and maybe Saudi (not sure about them because they fund and support Al Nusra which is basically AQ), and with the full knowledge of the CIA and US government. Some people might find that impossible to believe but this has been floated many times by a small number of serious journalists and has even been in big newspapers just not very much and with little fanfare. Well so far the trump admin is being a little evasive about who made the order today, which may suggest there is truth in the suggestion that it's been planned for months, pre-Trump & of course he would hate to admit that. Regardless of control I think he will be enjoying this last week, it's a basic show of strength he's been craving, he is a ratings man after all? even if it does achieve fcuk all for the American people.....
