There's evidence to suggest that Donnie's win has effected the mental health of Americans and a clinical psychiatrist has characterized the phenomenon as Trump Anxiety Disorder!! In other news the Republican National Committee has blocked any possible primary challengers to Don's 2020 re-election campaign in "an unprecedented pledge on Friday to give Trump their “undivided support” before he is the party’s official nominee." Whether that will work isn't clear as there are already internal challengers coming forward.
ChrisJones 7,975
In an interesting twist it turns out that the extra border security personel Don pledged to hire on his election never materialised. The pledge was 15,000 new border control and immigration agents. The total for 2018? 120. " In a sign of the difficulties, Customs and Border Protection allocated $60.7 million to Accenture Federal Services, a management consulting firm, as part of a $297-million contract to recruit, vet and hire 7,500 border officers over five years, but the company has produced only 33 new hires so far. ChrisJones 7,975
In a quiet corner of New York, while a government shutdown raged a presidentially owned golf club quietly fired a dozen undocumented workers who according to former management were hired under a "Don't Ask. Don't Tell" policy to keep labour costs to a minimum. Interestingly the club doesn't appear in the government's E-Verify system which sifts out undocumented workers over those legally residing in the US. Funny that... It's the golf club owned by the same guy that was elected to tackle illegal immigration and actually employs illegal immigrants to cut down on wages and benefits. 3 hours ago, green lurchers said: So that’s 2yrz of indicision so using the same chart type how does the dems “we need border protection stop illegal entry “ chart look like over the last 10 yrs ?? Whatabout, whatabout, whatabout? The guy that was elected on his promise to build the wall enjoyed a huge majority for half of his first term. He didn't use that majority to get his wall when all he had to do was ask for the money. So he loses his majority at the election and now this is such a priorty that he shuts down the government and furloughs 800,000 people in the name of border security. Why did he wait for 2 years, mate? What happened to the art of the deal? Edited January 28, 2019 by ChrisJones

Donald Trump had a majority in the house, the senate, and he had the presidency between 2017 and the beginning of this month. He had the means and the ability to request funding for his wall at any time during those two years. He declined. After his party got spanked at the mid term elections in November he still had 2 months to procure the funds for his wall. He declined. The week before the Democrats were due to take over the majority in the house he claimed there was a border emergency and vetoed a spending bill because it didn't have the $5bn he suddenly required for his border emergency. I'll repeat the question to you. Why did he wait 2 years, mate? 10 hours ago, Francie said: Plus pelosi schumer an barry etc are on record as saying we need a wall an better border security couple years back, ye know there just doing it to f**k up trump train. That's true, mate. Way back in 2006 they voted for certain sections to be fenced in conjunction with a broader border security program. It was called The Secure Fences Act. Vehicles ATV's, boots on the ground, more border agents, CCTV and seismic sensors. $700m. They got it because of bi-partisan agreement. No one is denying that border security isn't important. Everyone in America supports some form of border security. This is where the paths diverge massively. Donnie's election promise was to build a 30ft concrete wall the entire length of the border with Mexico. One that's buried 6ft under the ground so that they can't tunnel under it or as Don put it himself... This multi-gazillion dollar project hasn't got anything close to widespread support primarily due to the $$$ value attached but also because security specialists in this area concur that it's massively expensive and will be largely ineffective for a plethora of reasons that are easily researchable on the internet but in the interests of clarity I support border security but I don't support dumping massive amounts of my tax $$$ on a project that will simply increase the size of government and my tax contirbutions and achieve very little. And this is before we get to the bit where Mexico told him to f*ck off which would make the project 100% on the American taxpayer. Now the goalposts have shifted considerably in the last couple of years. Don's gone from The Great Wall Of The Rio Grande to beautiful steel slats but despite the rhetoric, despite the people in the know saying their simply isn't an emergency, despite the fact they'd have to buy millions of acres of private land for the project Don decided to shelve this project for the first 2 years of his presidency and is now trying to shoehorn it through a Democractic house by any means necessary. To say they're just doing it to f*ck up the Trump train is intellectually dishonest. Don got off that train two years ago and squandered any advantage he had and is now blaming it on the Democrats. He's become the very politician he promised he'd save us from. I get that yourself and GL don't like the democrats. I don't either. Can't f*ck*ng stand them. But this is Don's thread. If you want to get stuck into the democratic party's failings. Their war mongering. Their continual attack on the constitution. Their deep state corruption, fair one. Start another thread for it and I'll join in. I have no love for the Dems. But to simply excuse Trumps gaffes because the Dems aren't any better is the reason the mess is the mess it is. This thread trump under Fire the OP states knives out and a certain party not letting him get away with it etc from the title trump under fire we have to look at the reasons why He is under fire aside from the dems loosing , they set out from the start with ther marches anti trump agenda they promised one wk wouldn’t pass without an impeachment an alleged offencece , attack on those around him the manufactured Russia collision { that must pain a few .} that after so long and having the fbi bought n paid for not much ha happend then we get to the verbal attacks from film stars music giants and a host of big name folk { dosnt inc Michale moore } his claim to fame is looking like clement froides dog Henry chewing on s bag of mince morsels , well he’s got the fat chops nd neck, then we got the fake news lol , not a day has passed with out some shit , it’s all relevant Chris so no need for a thread on the dems , reg the wall ther may be a method in his undoubted madness , we knew he can get his dollar without asking the house so the game is still on , I think he’s shown them on a bigger stage exactly what the dems stand for which is anti America , folk will wake up the dems are veering to a venuzuala run country and will be led by the liberal give it all away brigade the gash multi tribe will tear down the constitution and then Edited January 28, 2019 by green lurchers
