Ironically it's the only time they've worked together to ease government spending! Republicans control both houses but are pointing the finger. The Dems are refusing to co-operate because that's how modern politics works. Don's actually clean here as the shit is getting flung in the arena. He's pushing for a long-term budget and all of these entitled f*ck*rs are dragging their heels. Hopefully, in the November mid-terms, there will be a massive shakeup with career politicians and new blood. The sh*t thing is that congress and senate salaries are still being paid along with benefits and such. The grassroots is pushing for a change where their perks are dismantled and they're treated exactly the same as any public sector employee... If that was the case you'd never see a shutdown.
