If he loses Bannon it will be all over for Trump, losing Flynn was bad enough, I'm not even sure Trump can make 4 years at this stage, either he will have to spend the next 4 years playing golf like Obama or he fights against the Neocons and he will be removed one way or another.

I think his heart was in the right place and genuinely wanted to do the things he said but he was naive thinking they'd let him do it. In the other Trump thread there were a few people who said they thought he would get assassinated, well this is the assassination in progress.

I think losing Bannon might actually help him with easing the fears of the rest of the country!

Joking aside though, I know you're a fan of Bannon, but his position was a surprise to everyone over here... Flynn's resignation was one of the best decisions made, so far, and his replacement one of the best decisions by the Trump adminstration. H.R McMaster, who replaced him, is by far the best man for the job. His experience in the middle east and his no f***ing nonsense approach to pretty much everything is exactly why he needs to be in this position. He calls it as it is and he won't kiss anyone's arse. These are the people we need making those kind of decisions. In fact we're wondering why no one to this point had picked him at all!

I honestly don't think that Donnie's heart was anywhere other than his own ego. I believe he ran because he saw what he would be up against, he thought 'Look at these f***ing clowns, I've got to throw my hat into the ring.' The worst that could happen was all the free publicity he'd get for the Trump brand. He continued running when they dropped like flies. His supporters looked at him as the proverbial 'brick through the window' to partisan politics, and as a tsunami against the establishment so they kept pushing him. Egging him on... and here we are.

He's just like us wondering what the f**k just happened!

Most Trump supporters aren't that flexible, I don't think they they would tolerate 4-8 years of procrastination like Obama's supporters did. They are ideologues, you cannot wake the sleeping beast of nationalism and not carry through.

It's like when Cameron 'pandered' to the Eurosceptics, we wouldn't accept half measures or grandstanding we want the whole thing and the more they tried to pacify us the further right he was dragged.

Trump supporters want the whole thing they were promised, they wont compromise on the big things losing Bannon will be a massive blow to the movement.

Trump would be better off throwing the towel in and admitting the system is rigged against him

One thing that seems to be getting missed here is that a president is not a supreme ruler. This isn't Britain, where you have a make shit up and do as you please system, there are some elected officials that actually put the constitution before their own pockets. Some of them are Republicans too! He can't just make shit up. What you're witnessing is the exact same thing that happened to the last years of the Obama administration. It's not procrastination, it's being block by partisan politics at every single turn. Obama wasn't procrastinating when he failed to nominate a supreme court judge, he was blocked from making the decision by partisan politics. Filibusters and government shut downs. Like it, or not, the constitution forbids one man calling all the shots and while I'm sure that some would like to see King Donald I most of America would not. Trump is now finding that despite having what he perceives as the best intentions there are 300m+ people, in America, that are on a sliding scale of agree/disagree.

Trump supporters wanted a massive shake up of Washington politics. Mission accomplished. The rest is for the vultures. Losing Bannon will upset some of the old white guys but it could actually win around some of the centre right that think he's a f***ing crackpot. His failure to replace Obamacare could see his administration castrated at next year's midterms and you could see a repeat performance of what happened to the outgoing Obama presidency. A pretty much 50/50 split and the remainder of his presidency being accused of procrastination by the opposition. His healthcare plan was scuttled by his own team!

Trump was shouting that the system was rigged from day 1. That's the same rigged system that got him the job! If he wants to genuinely make a change he needs to act in the interests of America, the people that voted for him to take that job.

He's less than three months in... I can't believe he's being asked to chuck it in...

He was very clear on his policy, he was extremely clear on Syria and being non interventionist so yeh he needs to act in the interests of the people who voted for him.

If they wanted more war they would have voted for HRC, he should focus on what got him elected, if the Republicans are going to block everything he is wasting him time.
